• Round luminaire for wall, ceiling or floor installation – recessed.
• Configuration: body in turned aluminum (EN AW-6060 alloy) with 15 micron anodization for high corrosion resistance. Cap, open frame and cover in AISI 316L or aluminum (see catalog pages for reference). Diffuser: transparent or sandblasted polycarbonate or methacrylate (see catalog pages for reference).
• Double-layer painting for high corrosion resistance: the aluminum components are painted with a double coat using powders compliant with QUALICOAT standards: a first layer of epoxy powder (with excellent chemical and mechanical resistance) and a second finishing layer of polyester powder (resistant to UV rays and atmospheric agents). The entire painting process for the aluminum fitting starts with components that have been sandblasted to make the surface more porous and increase the adhesion of the paint. Ares uses alkaline and acid washing to completely clean the surfaces, then rinses with demineralized water to remove any residual particles, after which a chemical conversion treatment is performed to protect against rust.

Sigma is equipped with a highly efficient resin-coated DC/DC converter that eliminates electromagnetic interference and is protected against reverse polarity and sudden voltage spikes. Outdoor use requires suitable flexible cables. Installation on solid surfaces requires a dedicated installation box, purchased separately; installation in panels is only possible with the spring-loaded version. For the buried version, it is important to provide a layer of gravel >200mm or a drainage system (for concrete surfaces) to ensure good drainage and prevent water stagnation.
