General: This device is a waterproof volumetric detector that detects a moving intruder in the protected area, shaped like a fan, by detecting the temperature difference between the moving target and the background, then activating a Doppler confirmation check: if this is positive, an alarm is generated. This makes the Silent DualTech more selective in discriminating against any false alarms, making it more suitable for disturbed environments and generally outdoors.

Application features: volumetric anti-intrusion protection of outdoor areas surrounding the property in a sector of 70° x 12 m.
Warning: any detector placed outside is subject to inappropriate alarms due to various causes that careful installation and management on the control panel can reduce, if not eliminate: in these cases, we recommend using the "external alarm" function on the control panels.

Installation features: The absence of wiring constraints facilitates proper positioning, which is essential for the proper functioning of these devices. Applications are varied and different for each system, and a thorough understanding of the devices' operation and limitations is essential. The most effective installation involves mounting the device approximately 0.8 m high on a wall, preferably under a roof and/or balcony, aimed toward traffic areas.

Power supply: 3 x 1.5V AA batteries, which provide approximately two years of battery life with normal use. Battery life also decreases significantly in high-traffic areas.
Self-protection: signalling when the appliance is opened and detached from the wall.
Radio transmission: Dual Band, simultaneously operating in accordance with EU regulations. Range adequate for use.
Checking and testing: See specific instructions. With the system operational, testing occurs by triggering an alarm and verifying its reception.

Operation:
The device should be set to the minimum sensitivity, sufficient to detect a person crossing the protected area after 3-5 steps. To reduce power consumption, it locks out after an alarm and resumes detection only after a few minutes of no movement in the area. Correct positioning and adjustments can prevent the detection of small animals: plants, tall grass, and other moving objects should be carefully avoided in the protected area.
In addition to the intrusion alarm, the devices also report tampering when an event occurs; the status of their life (supervision) and any low battery every 40 minutes: the control panel highlights these signals following an arming and/or disarming.
